Sharad Yadav threatens suicide if Parliament passes Women's bill

Sharad Yadav threatened suicide if women reservation bill is passed. He almost makes me and switch side and argue for the women reservation bill + 1 less foolish leader. Alas I will still stick to my stand of opposing any type of reservation including women reservation bill.
I am all for upliftment of every sect of the society but that upliftment should not come at the cost of people who were unfortunate enough to be born as upper caste and male in this case (btw I am both).
In India which is a dynastic democracy this bill would mean that from the seats which become reserved wives, daughters, daughter in laws of great leaders would stand and great leader themselves would shift to other seats thereby concentrating power in the hand of even fewer people. It is this argument which makes me wonder if Sharad Yadav is outright insane or does he by any chance doesnot trust the ladies in his house :).
There is another argument that is coming to my mind and that is that when reservation was supposed to be implemented in IITs and IIMs extra seats were created so that general quota people don't have to suffer. Why can't the same solution be applied to other places where reservation would be implemented. I mean no matter how slimy our politicians are why should they suffer if you want to uplift one section of the downtrodden. Why can't the number of seats in parliament be increased to 750 and give the addition 200 seats to women.
Food for thought but if the government does decides to go through with the bill in the present form I won't mind lending my rat poison to Mr. Sharad Yadav.
May Insanity prevail. Amen!!
