Kolkata Knight Rider: The Curious case of racial discrimination
Tuesday, May 12, 2009
Indians being racially discriminated is no new news. We are racially discriminated, abused and what not across the globe. What is alarming is that the latest reported discrimination has happened to a cricket player in IPL. IPL when I last checked was called "Indian Premiere League". So an Indian player getting racially abused in an Indian League is really something that should ring some alarm bells. Ajay Jadeja has claimed in a NDTV programme that
He further went on to say that
After being ruled by foreigners for over 300 years we have become ass suckers of any and every white ass. We have been playing cricket for over 75 years and have produced great players like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Bishan Bedi, and many more. Stephen Fleming retire and is directly appointed the coach of Chennai and Lehman gets the same job for Chargers but we cannot have Tendulkar or Ganguly or Dravid to coach their respective teams. Is Lehman a greter player than Tendulkar or a better cricket brain than him?
Buchanan atleast has a coaching pedigree but we ass suckers just go on looking on for more white ass to suck. IPL is a 40 day tournament I wonder what a 25 member coaching staff can teach cricketers in 40 days. Coaches according to me in an International level cricket tournament is an ocerrated commodity.
This fact is known to one an all but yet if we go for aussie coaches that is just because we believe that they are better than us and the worst part is that they know it and thus we have the situation we have. It is about time franchise owner learn this.
"I am an Indian player. I know so many players in the team (Kolkata Knight Riders Team). One player was asked to come off the field and when he came off the field he asked "Why did you want me to come off the field? One of the coaches in KKR says 'You Indian, you do what I ask you to do'," he said.
He further went on to say that
"So there is definitely a divide. I know it from the source himself. So the players are not feeling comfortable. "There is divide between Indian and foreign player and there is a divide between thought process. I mean Sourav Ganguly has a different thought process and you can see that. So this team is divided. There is no doubt about it," he addedIf this reported incident is true it cannot get anymore absurd. I mean Cricket Economy is driven by India and here some people have the guts to racially discriminate against Indians. If you ask me if this incident has left me aghast the answer is no. You get what you deserve. We Indians have called this upon us. I mean you have 8 teams in IPL yet not even a single team is coached by an Indian. We ourself make the foriegners believe that they are superior to us. If there was no cap on foreigner players I'm pretty sure you would have seen even 3rd grade aussie player make the cut but no Indian in the lineup.
